About Ayaka Wada

I am a Japanese founder and culture-focused creator
working at the intersection of craft, sensitive-skin comfort,
and quiet global living.

Born in Kiryu, Gunma—one of Japan’s historical silk regions—
my roots are deeply connected to textile culture and soft, natural materials.
My grandmother’s family once raised silkworms,
and that quiet legacy continues to influence the way I think, create, and live.

Over the past years, I have built my life and work across Asia,
based primarily in Bali, where I obtained my long-stay visa,
while also spending extended periods in Tokyo and other Asian cities.
As a digital nomad, I have worked in Cebu, Vietnam, Kuala Lumpur,
and have also spent meaningful time working in Switzerland,
learning from each place’s atmosphere and cultural sensibilities.

Through these experiences, I came to believe that
silence, gentle materials, and cultural understanding
have the power to transform the way we live and work—especially for women.

As someone with sensitive skin,
I explore natural fibers and plant-based materials
that offer comfort without compromising beauty.
This journey eventually led me to develop new textile projects
through my company, Bravella.

Today, I am designing a future
where I can build and live between Japan and Switzerland
a direction that reflects both my cultural interests
and my personal aspirations.

My work centers on:

  • Japanese culture and quiet aesthetics

  • Material exploration rooted in silk heritage

  • Creating comfort for women with sensitive skin

  • Global lifestyle design inspired by Japan and Switzerland

Through writing and creative work,
I share quiet moments, the textures of everyday life,
and the cultural stories that shape my journey.
